Be an Advocate

One of the simplest but most powerful things you can do to support our school is to be an advocate!  Talk to other parents and encourage them to attend school events.  Encourage families who are unhappy about a situation to talk to those involved.  Call the school when you have a question or concern. We are much more productive when we work together!  

Chaperone

Field trips are educational experiences for students but require the assistance of adult chaperones to be successful.  As a chaperone, you will be responsible for supervising a group of students, helping them learn through experiences!  A completed Background Check must be on file in order to chaperone.  A new background check form must be completed each school year.

Lend Your Time, Skills, and Talents

Our teachers spent countless hours cutting out lamination, putting packets together, stapling, and ensuring coursework is ready to go!  Ask your child's teacher if there's any prep work you can do from home.  We also encourage you to share your career, talents, and expertise with teachers!  Everyone has something that could be beneficial in our school environment!

Get Involved in MES PTO

Our Monrovia Elementary School PTO is extremely engaged in our school!  We encourage you to sign up to volunteer, attend a PTO meeting, or come out to one of the many wonderful events including Popcorn Friday, Daddy/Daughter Dance, Glow Run, and more!  Please email monroviapto@gmail.com for additional information.
